Anthony's Eulogy
Anthony was that person that was able to touch others hearts in a very special way. He was honest and funny and was able to laugh out loud. Although he isn't here in person everyone here is blessed to have loved him and known him. Please remember that no one can take our memories away from us. Each of us has been lucky enough in our lives to have met him and loved him. It hurts that he loved life so much but had to leave us so soon. Please understand that no one is to blame. We just want everyone to share their memories, their laughter, and their tears, for all of these things make us who we are. We can not go back and take away the things that hurt us most, but hopefully the memories of Anthony and the person he was will guide us in the future. We all know that he could be quite the funny man and I am sure there are stories that we can share with each other and laugh out loud just like he did. He had one of those infectious laughs that could make you cry and make your face hurt. He was always so protective of the people he loved and for that we can all be grateful for he loved each and every one us for that special something in each of us that he found endearing. He shared his thoughts about things and people easily, pretty much always trying to find something good but seeing through someone who he knew was fake or someone that he found insincere. We find that one of his richest qualities. His heart was big and he always found time to listen to others and always let the people whom he loved and cherished know that they were special to him. He was kind and gentle. Please keep him in your hearts and prayers. We know that he is in a better place and take great comfort in knowing that he is with his Pap. He carried Dad's name and in fact he was the first one to hold that beautiful baby. Anthony always admired his Pap and we can at least take solace in the fact that he is with someone who he loved and admired, but more than that Anthony is not alone. Yes, we all will miss his kind spirit and his gentle soul but we can not deny the fact that he will always be with each and everyone of us. So please say a prayer for Anthony and don't be afraid to talk to him now and again. We would like to say thank you to all of you special people who loved him and shared at least a little bit of time with him during his short time here with us. We are sad that he is gone, but we are so blessed to have been given the gift of his genuine friendship and unconditional love.
The family of Anthony Vincent Duffie thanks you for being part of his family, his cherished friend. We will always cherish the people that Anthony cherished. Please say a prayer for him, please don't forget him. We know that God needed him and we are sure that he is finally free of all that ailed him, but more importantly than that, we know that he is dancing with the Angels.
